DramaLAB presents
RED HEAVENS
From Stromboli to D’Urville Island

This dynamic play is inspired by the book ‘Angelina’ by New Zealand author Gerard Hindmarsh.

DramaLAB is a theatre company that devises its own original performances, often inspired by extraordinary people or true events performed by powerful and skilled performing artists.

DramaLAB creates performances in a direct, transparent and intimate way that invite their audiences to enter a space of innovation and simplicity that calls in emotional involvement with the story and its actors. They become part of the journey. This combined with physical theatre influences leads to unique creations where both drama and comedy are often equally present.

The theatre company loves exploring a creative approach to lighting, sound, digital imaginary, transformation of set and costuming.

DramaLAB is based in Golden Bay, Top of the South Island and performs all around New Zealand.

Martine Baanvinger, founder of DramaLAB, also offers Actor Training courses and Physical Theatre workshops in New Zealand for actors, directors, dancers, composers and all other creatives. Also Devising Theatre courses are available for performing artists, universities and schools around the country.
